This is my first (and as of now only) short film. For my final project in Race and Technology 2.0, I had to make a visual representation of my ‘video game project.’ (And YES, I was assigned 2-3 hours of video-gaming a week as my homework) My goal was to offer parallels and points of intersection between Def Jam Icon and minstrel shows. My voice is cracking, and the iMovie editing is lousy because, in true Freshman-in-college fashion I was recording my voiceover at 1am. But since then, I’ve moved towards playwriting and performance piece, which, in true Sophomore-in-college fashion, I didn’t record.
